Literature Review
Interactive Teaching was developed from the Natural Approach and Communicative Approach, and was met with approval and recommendation as the communicative approach was carried out. During the development, it was well supported by the theories of interaction, language learning, social constructivism, and developmental theory.
2.1 Definition of Interaction
Interaction involves not just expression of one's own ideas, but comprehension of those of others. The participants work through this interaction, which is always understood in a context, physical, or experiential, with nonverbal cues adding aspects of learning beyond the verbal. Students learn to communicate through listening to others, talking with others, negotiating meaning in a shared context.
Interactive Method is a "student-centered, textbook-founded, and ability-aimed" monitor model. This method offers teachers a guiding principle, they should supply students with enough "comprehensible input", while organizing class activities. "Comprehensible input", refers to utterances that the learner understands based on the context in which they are used as well as the language in which they are phrased.
