SAT语法关于平行结构的问题
The Amazon River carries more water than (the water carried in any of the world's other rivers).
A. the water carried in any of the world's other rivers
C. any other river in the world
答案选C我选A……感觉是两个河所带的【水】的比较啊……
后来发现有人说是主语和主语比较,那么下面这句：
More tourists from the United States visited museums in Great Britian than in Canada.
这句话的主语不是tourists 么,那么后面的in Canada不是得变成the tourists in Canada么?
平行结构这种东西一直都是靠感觉选的,没有一个特别清晰的思维套路……终于还是栽在第一题上了.求详细解答,谢谢!

此句主语为Amazon river而不是water,因此比较的应该是river.
假如要比较water,应为：The water in Amazon river is more than..
另外,选C除了使句子具有可比性以外,选则any other的另一个原因是any other指代将Amazon River本身已排除,指代清楚,表示比较除AMAZON以外的河流.
