One of the problems in the field of MDA (as well as
other fields) is the lack of resources available in one

MMI is not interested in assembling these micro
components; so they access the Web and submit their
requirements to an enterprise manager.This software
based manager analyzes the requirements and then
returns with alternate plans involving one or several
industrial organizations who will work (together) to
produce MMI’s required micro device; the plan also
provides details on (a) potential partners who can
formulate assembly plans,(b) partners who can
simulate needed plans (c) other partners who are
capable of assembling the target product.Today,this
scenario is not possible.A major issue which needs to
be addressed relates to the notion of semantic
interoperability; interoperability is possible only when
disparities among the partners are resolved at the
semantic level.A key attribute involves providing
services that are computer interpretable.The partners in
such a collaboration can be viewed as virtual enterprise
(VE) partners.
