His classmates were surprised at his picture One child guessed itwas the hand of a farmer ,because farmers raise turkeys Others guessed it wasthe hand of God ,for God feeds us.
The teacher asked him whose hand it was The little boy said in a lowVoice ,"It's yours."
She remembered that she often took Douhlas'hand and walked with him.She still remembered what she said to Douglas ,"Take my hand ,Douglas ,we'll go outside " Or ,"Let me showyou how to hold your pencil."' Or ,"Let's do this together ,"
Douglaswas most thankful for his teacher's band .
