Reaching the end of a job interview,the human resources person asked a young engineer fresh out of MIT,"And what starting salary were you looking for?"
就业面试进行到最后时,人力资源负责人问这个刚从麻省理工学院毕业的工程师：“在你工作刚开始的时候,你期望得到多少薪水?”
The engineer said,"In the neighborhood of $125,000 a year,depending on the benefits package."
工程师说：“每年12.5万美元左右吧,再根据其他福利的情况而定.”
The interviewer said,"Well,what would you say to a package of 5-weeks vacation,14 paid holidays,full medical and dental,company matching retirement fund to 50% of salary,and a company car leased every 2 years - say,a red Corvette?"
面试者问：“5周的休假,两周的带薪假期,全额的医疗费用,包括牙医的,相当于工资一半的退休金,还有公司的一辆汽车,每两年签一次契约,一辆红色Corvette（轻巡洋舰,此处是一种跑车型）吧,你觉得怎么样?”
The engineer sat up straight and said,"Wow!Are you kidding?"
工程师直起身说：“哇!开玩笑吧?”
And the interviewer replied,"Yeah,but you started it."
面试者回答：“嗯.但是是你先开始的.”
