As time went by,the porter's little son and the General's little daughter becane taller.The General's little daughter became very beautiful.She didn't often play in the yard now.But when she went out with her mamma,she woule always smile at george.
One morning,George was sent to carry the letters and newspapers to the General.As he was running up stairs,he heard a noise,He thought that some young chiken were there.But it was the General's little daughter.Emily saw George,too.She said,"Don't tell papa and mamma.They will be angry."
"What's the matter?"asked George.
"it's all on fire!"she said."it's burning with a bright flame!"
George hurried upstairs to the large first floor.The window curtain of Emily's room was almost completely on fire.
