今天很高兴能参加这个演讲,其实我本来已经打算放弃了,因为我的英语实在不怎么样,一时冲动把名报了,所以各位朋友们,见笑了.
我加入我们这个大家庭时间很短,只有半年,我了解的人物和事迹也很少,我就说一下我身边最近的人吧,就是我的老公某某.
某某是1999年参加的工作,那时他18岁.带着满腔的热情来到了这里.当时他用了4个月的时间就基本掌握了各种操作技能和岗位知识.他热爱这份工作,当然,凭着对机械设备的热情,利用自己休假的时间专门跑到泵工那里虚心的学习修泵拆泵.
作为他的家属,我曾经非常怨恨他的时常的不顾家,有时候明明该回家了,却突然临时有事不能回家了.我们结婚5年了,只有一年是在家过的年,其余的时间都是我陪他在这片沙漠中度过.
现在我也在这片土地上,慢慢我理解了他.
在这里有很多比他更出色更优秀的人们把他们的青春和热血洒在了这片土地上.有很多很多的石油儿女,为了祖国的石油事业,不得不牺牲家庭利益,把对父母的孝心和对妻儿的爱心深深地埋藏在心底.

In fact, I had wanted to give up as my English is really mediocre. But on an impulse, I registered and here I am. So, dear friends, please pardon me for any possible mistakes.
I joined this big family quite recently--in fact, only about half a year ago. So I know little about the people and things around me. Instead, let me talk about someone who is the closest to me--my husband XX.
XX started working in 1999 at the age of 18. He came here with great enthusiasm. In four months, he mastered practically all the operational skills and acquired the knowledge associated with his job. He loves his job. So, out of his great enthusiasm for mechanical equipment, he spent his leave making a special trip to the pump worker's to learn in modesty how to repair and dismantle pumps.
As his spouse, I used to complain that he often neglected our home. Sometimes, when he apparently should be going home, he couldn't make it all because of some emergency. We have been married for five years, but he has stayed home once celebrating the Chinese New Year. For the rest of the time, I have been keeping him company on this dessert. Living on this land, I have gradually come to understand him.
Among us are many people who are better and more outstanding than my husband, people who have left their youth and shed their blood on this soil. So many sons and girls of the oil industry have had to sacrifice their family interest for the sake of our motherland's petroleum industry, burying deep in their heart the filial piety towards their parents and the love for their wife and children.
