As for me,Yao Ming is not just a basketball star and celebrity,but also an instrument of connecting the different parts of the world.the NBA is in the west and china is in the east,two of the biggest powers in the world.
As in the film ‘The Year of The Yao',Yao Ming is an ambassador to the world.Not only chinese people admire him,almost all people in the world know who yao ming is and admire and idolize him.
The good thing is that,unlike the hiphop and badboy cultured stars in the NBA,Yao Ming is laid back,simple and humble,and it is evident in the way he plays,though,he's really relentless and effective in the court.At both worlds,Yao Ming is definitely a hero.
