Cars or Bikes?
Cars and bicycles are similar in that they are both privately owned means of transport.In other words,they have in common the fact that the owner can decide when and where to go.However,there are a lot of difference between them.A car costs a lot more to buy than a bicycle.
In addition,it is far more expensive to run.For example,a car has to be insured,and must be serviced regularly; furthermore,spare parts for a car cost a lot of money.A ear uses petrol,which is expensive,whereas a bicycle uses only human energy.
On the other hand,as far as comfort is concerned,a car is better than a bicycle.In a car you are protected from the weather,have comfortable seats and plenty of room to can?people and luggage.A car is not only more comfortable than a bicycle,but it is faster as well.With respect to convenience,it is difficult to say which one is better.A bicycle is certainly easier to park!
To sum up,each one has its advantages and disadvantages.
When I was in high school,there was a teacher who taught me more than that in class.He was a very kind boy,4 or 5 years older than us and taught us geography.We all liked to take his class,though geography was not our major course.What impressed me a lot was his grace.You could see him always smiling.He got angry only when we were too noisy in class.After class,he often played soccer with us.He used to be a very believable defender and never fouled on any of us.We all liked to call him "Teacher Miao" and he was just like a friend,not a teacher.His sonsy personality inspired me to be kind to everyone I met.That was my well-beloved "Teacher Miao"
My home town
My home town isevery beautiful.it stands beside a wide river and is rich in fish and rice.
But in the old days it was a poor and backward little town.many people had no work.they lived a hard life.
In 1949 my hometown was liberated.since then great changes have taken place there.the streets have been widened.factories,schools,hospitals,cinemas and theatres have sprung up one after another.the life of the people is greatly improved.
I love my hometown.all the more i love its people.they are working hard so as to make it still richer and more beautiful.
My Good Friend
My best frierd’s name is Wei Hua.’He was born in Hunan in March,1988.But now he lives in Beijing.His parents work in Beijing.His father is a worker and his mother is a doctor.
Wei Hua is interested in playing basketball.We often play basketball together.He does well in maths and it’s his best subject.My maths isn’t good.He often helps me.He says he will be a scientist when he grows up.
How to Succeed?
Everybody is eager to be a successful person in his life.But not all people can always succeed.People who are lazy and want to succeed only by daydreaming can hardly succeed.A successful person must possess some good characters,such as diligence,strong will,perseverance,etc.He must keep on learning and make himself a capable person.Sometimes he should be more flexible to change with the situations.All in all,serf-confidence is thefirst step on the road to success.And hard work is the key element of success.
