1.Time is of no account with great thoughts, which are as fresh today as when they first passed through their author’s minds, ages ago.
问:as when...
说到这,我还是不太明白as far as in the future,还是不明白问什么as介词后可以加上一个副词far?不是应该写成as far as in the future?
3.I would not give a fig for the young man who does not already see himself the partner or the head of an important firm.
5.do not touch liquor,or if at all only at meals;
问:if at all是个什么短语?
6.Remember this is a step by step process.
第二点那里,写多了一个词,应该是:“我还是不太明白as far in the future”,写多个as

1、, which are as fresh today as when they first passed through their author’s minds
涉及到的是as...as... 此句中是today与when they first passed through their author’s minds这两个时间的情况的比较.which are as fresh today as (which were)when they first passed through their author’s minds.
  2、as ever=as in the past,此处as是连词,例如:as usual,后面可以接名词、代词、句子、形容词、副词等.至于您提到的as far in the futureas 参见给您答过的解释.
  3、就像consider...as...中可以省略as一样 see...as...
  4、sweep out
Sweep the room out well.
Without a word, she turned and swept out.
He sweeps the room every day.
扫过,掠过,擦过Willow branches swept the river's surface.
5、do not touch liquor, or if (he touches liquor)at all(真的,起到强调的用) only at meals.
6.应该是Remember this is a step-by-step(adj.) process. 不带连字符的用法不是规范用法.step by step (adv.)means slowly and gradually from one stage to the next
