With the accelerating pace of globalization, learning a foreign language becomes extremely critical. However, it is said that many people get bogged down in learning a foreign language. The most difficult part of learning a language, I think, is speaking. The reasons why I have this claim are as follows.
Take Chinese students' learning English, for example. Most of the Chinese students are so shy that they are afraid to open their mouth to speak their broken English to others and they are too nervous to speak a fluent English.What's more, confidence ruined by traditional education, they feel themselves inferior with a fear that themselves would encounter something which would make themselves humiliated. But It is people who hear you speak that are supposed to suffer a lot, isn't it? So under no circumstance does it has something to do with the person who speaks and he/she does not have to worry about it at all.Besides, even if your poor English is extremely unpleasant to hear, you should still keep on speaking; even if your poor English is laughed at by a great number of people, you should insist on speaking as before. You do not be required to speak until your English is fluent, standard and authentic.
Many students think writing is one of the most difficult parts. Perhaps this is because it is hard to learn a foreign language especially writing when their mother tongue is deeply rooted in their minds. For example, Chinese students have to learn not to express their thoughts in broken English. But you can make progress in writing by doing a lot of reading concerned with English. You can also speak English loudly and remember the new word.
From my perspective, never is learning a foreign language easy. However, as long as you follow these suggestions above and stick to do them, then you will find your writing and speaking level are greatly improved.
